If you have never used self-storage before, then you may be wondering how the process works. However, renting a storage unit is a reasonably easy process. In this post, we have written the steps as to how renting a storage unit works, so you can put your mind at ease.

First Things First: Choose Your Storage Facility

When it comes to choosing your storage facility, you want to choose one that is close to you, especially if you are planning on visiting often. There would be nothing more frustrating than having to travel for miles upon miles to visit your storage unit. You also want to think about the facilities that the storage company has when it comes to choosing what storage company to go with. For example, what are the security measures? At Storage Oldham, security is our top priority, at our storage facility we have over 180 CCTV cameras and a state-of-the-art Red Care alarm system, you are the only one with access to your unit, and there is security fencing around the entire facility.

Select Your Storage Space

Once you have chosen your storage facility, it is now time to choose your storage space and what size you need. At Storage Oldham, we offer a range of storage unit sizes. We have something perfect for everyone, whether you are storing old clothes, or you are moving house and you need to store furniture such as sofas, beds, televisions, etc. We have units that range from 25 sq ft to 150 sq ft.

Reserve Your Storage Unit

Once you have decided on the size of storage unit that you need, it is time to reserve the unit. Let a member of our team know what unit you would like to reserve and then if it is available, we can begin your move-in process. Once you have reserved your unit all you need to do is read and sign the storage licence agreement form which only takes a few minutes.

Decide How You Want To Pay

Once you have reserved your storage unit, you can decide how you want to pay. At Storage Oldham, you can choose to pay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

Time To Move In

Once all of the above has been completed, it is now time to move in. At Storage Oldham, once you reserve your unit, you can move in immediately as soon as you have signed all of the paperwork.
